Warranty Policy
Motors – Hill House Products provides standard and custom motors from many manufacturers both domestic and imported. Depending on specific requirements, the terms and length of warranties vary slightly but in most cases the warranty is a minimum of 12 months. Ask our sales representative for specifics warranty details on your product.
All motors are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship. Seller obligations under the warranty shall be limited exclusively to repair or replacing at Sellers option, for units found to be under warranty. The length of the warranty is based on the date code of manufacturing, listed on the label. The label must be present on the motor for a valid warranty claim.
Buyer shall notify the Seller of any defects in the quality or condition of the Products, or Services within seven (7) days of the date of delivery or performance, unless the defect was not apparent on reasonable inspection, in which case, within seven (7) days after discovery of the defect.
The warranty does not apply and is void to motors that are modified, repaired, disassembled, connected improperly electrically or mechanically, suffered freight damage, improperly stored, repainted, misused, neglected, abused or improperly used in the application.
Additionally, some motors use carbon brushes to mechanical commutate, these items are by, their nature, are a "wear" item with a specific life and they are not covered under any warranty. Once they are at "end of life" they need to be replaced at the customer's expense. Ask our sales representative for specific details for your application.

Motor controls can be broken down into AC, DC and brushless DC designs, many customized for specific applications. Because of sophisticated electronics involved all control use and connections should be done by a trained knowledgeable professional, following manufacturer's guidelines. Otherwise serious injury or damage to the control can occur.
